Yoga Nidra is also sometimes referred to as Yogic Sleep. This guided meditation induces deep relaxation and healing of the body and mind, starting with the muscles and becoming more and more subtle from there. Nidra allows you to remain aware while you enter into a sleep-like state of consciousness. It’s said that 45min is the relaxation equivalent of 4 hours of sleep!
